Sagarmatha Insurance wins General Insurance Company of the Year 2019 award from Emerging Asia Insurance Awards

Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited has won General Insurance Company of the Year 2019 Special Recognition from Emerging Asia Insurance Awards organized by India Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Chunky Chhetry, CEO of Sagarmatha Insurance received the award amidst Emerging Asia Insurance Awards & Conclave 2019 organized in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 14.

CEO Chhetry also participated in a panel discussion on Dig-In Drivers & Customers as a panelist and shared insights about the insurance industry in Nepal.

Last year, Sagarmatha Insurance had won Product Innovation in General Insurance Awards 2018.

Incorporated in 1996, Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited is one of the first general insurance companies in Nepal. Currently, the company has a wide network expansion in Nepal with over 80 branches and additional extensions. It provides over 30 services like Fire Insurance, Motor Insurance, Marine Insurance, Micro Insurance, Accidental Insurance, Theft/Burglary Insurance, and Travel Medical Insurance among others.

Sagarmatha Insurance in a statement has said that it has collected more than two billion insurance premium (fee) from its customers within the first week of Asar in current fiscal year.

What is Emerging Asia Insurance Awards?

Emerging Asia Insurance Awards was initiated by Indian Chamber of Commerce in 2018 to acknowledge, honor and recognize the efforts made by the emerging Asian insurance companies through awards as well as discuss the current economic conditions and its ramifications on the insurance sector.
